No one’s mentioned the pretentiousness of having an epigram on a cover letter.

As soon as I noted the absence of a question mark, I immediately started thinking of this as the welcome statement of one of those Weird Earl webpages. You know, the kind where a mentally ill person is trying to promote his Little Bang Theory [sub]Far Side[/sub]. By the time she’d gotten to “corporate culture”, she’d forgotten what idea she was trying to express and was thinking ahead to the next one; hence, no question mark.
rackensack’s theory, that she’s been too immersed in the buzzword culture and can’t communicate otherwise, is a good one. But I think that’s just what makes her this particular kind of nutjob.
Jonathan, be careful in the interview. Don’t say anything that she could interpret as promising the job, or establishing any kind of connection between the two of you. Well, I’m sure you’re experienced at conducting interviews. But be very much on your guard. Also, ask the receptionist how her demeanor is when she comes in and when she leaves.
