No, they dont need the MAGA hat wearers but they do need the moderates in the Rust belt, etc. Those people arent always as progressive as the coasts are. It’s changing.

Ive been wavering between Warren and Biden lately but beyond electability it would still be close. Likely Biden.
I think the ACA is something to laud and build on not tear down, that what is called MfA is at best problematic. I don’t like Warren’s position against using nuclear power as part of all of the above. I think Biden is a better choice for dealing with international affairs. I think Biden would likely actually deliver more of the progressive agenda than bold but doomed to not pass plans would. But Warren hits on wealth inequality more and I see that as a key issue.

Listening to talking heads today the take is that this Ukraine bit will help Warren. I think it will help Biden. Not only is it pretty clear there is nothing there it ends up highlighting his active role in the Obama administration. That plays into his messaging bigly.

Watching Biden speaking today, Tuesday June 30 from Wilmington about the Trump Administration’s COVID response and I have to say a couple things: It is comforting to listen to someone speaking who sounds competent and Presidential. Secondly, anyone who is pushing the idea Biden is losing his marbles or has dementia is guilty of cherry picking or has the bias of a sore loser or both. He spoke and took questions for an extended period and was great.
When asked about “his cognitive ability” or has he had this tested he responded that his cognitive ability is constantly being tested and he looks forward to seeing his being compared to that of the President. I found it to be an excellent answer. The contrast between the two men is stark.
