Maybe this should go into the Aviation news thread, but I thought it deserved its own. I don’t think there’s a pilot alive in the U.S. who doesn’t know of John and Martha King.
King Schools owners mistakenly detained, AOPA president outraged
Oh – For non-pilots who may read this thread and haven’t heard of them, here is the King Schools website. There’s a video you can click on to see their style.
I thought perhaps it was just because they’re annoying - especially Martha. Their videos convinced me to read the textbooks instead.
I usually refer to them as ‘enthusiastic’. 
I’m wondering who actually buy their videos. Are their people who are not annoyed by their, um, enthusiasm? Or worse, actually like it? <shudder> I mean, the Kings are doing pretty well for themselves, so clearly someone is buying the videos. Who are these people?

Saw this on the local news. I initially read that they were amused by the whole thing.
I think the Kings shtick was included as training in Microsoft Flight Sim (A Century of Flight).
