John Mace Says: "Americans are too stupid to educate themselves..."

It IS reality, you are just to much of a wuss to accept it. That’s why I am winning this argument. Here are some FACTS from a cite that ABSOLUTELY PROVES my argument.

The U.S. is losing sheep at an alarming rate. We are outsourcing are sheep to New Zealand and this can not continue. 85 million people visited Sea World in 2003 to see the whales which proves that 85% of America agrees with me that a sheep / whale barter system is the only way to go.

Suck it, bitches.

Why are you guys wasting time with this guy? He’s either insane or just saying crap to keep the attention.

Zombocom simultaneously substantiates and refutes all possible claims. It’s really the only cite you need. Anything is possible there. The unattainable is unknown at zombocom.

Honestly I wasn’t even going to say anything (I mostly lurk) but my mind is drawn inexorably to the Black Knight when I see a lone crazy person on the internet crowing about their great victory (over reality) and had to share.

winning!!!

Yes they do. Even the Wall Street Journal found that out. Now you’re telling them they’re wrong. Or maybe you’re just living in denial. In any case most Americans oppose offshoring and politicians who ran on protectionist themes did better in 2010 than others who didn’t.

So don’t feel so bad about the balls bouncing off your chin. It happens to everyone who fights protectionism nowadays.

Lone? I’m hardly alone asshole. I have 80% of the country behind me.

Who do you have? Count them. How many people on here disagree with me? I can counter you with that times a million.

Stupid pathetic message board. Who the fuck are you but a handful of nose picking Clearasil poster boys?

Remind me again what A) 80% of the country agrees with you about exactly, B) how you came up with this figure, and C) how this shocking majority of the populace came to whatever this conclusion is that would cast the other 20% of the country, having the audacity to disagree with you and most of America, as “nose picking Clearasil poster boys?”

I cited it already. A Sept 28 Wall Street Journal study showed 86% of Americans oppose offshoring. 90% of Republicans oppose it. 57% of high-earning Americans oppose it.

You know why I love this place? It’s because it’s so easy to get you guys on the defensive and keep you on the defensive.

The vitriol on this forum is increasing in direct proportion to your ineffectiveness and impotence (in every sense of the word). Nobody comes here who supports tariffs. This makes you fairly unique in the world of forums and even in the world of economics, as even some economists are now coming out against offshoring.

Instead of getting so defensive at the messenger - me - the Dopers should be asking themselves… you used to have big majorities in support of free trade. How did you lose that? But no, it’s better to throw a temper tantrum fit at me because I’m the messenger. Oh no wait, I’m now suddenly a “troll”. Heh.

Here’s me… laughing at you.

Dammit, I oppose offshore drilling to a very large degree. I’d love to see a major gas tax phased in. I think we need to radically rethink our nation’s energy policy. And you’re wrong as hell. Not only are you wrong about the 80%, but 60% of Americans want even more offshore drilling than we currently have.

Could you provide another link to the article please? I can’t find it in this thread.

I’m not sure if you’re being sarcastic with your post, but i think that he’s referring to “offshoring” as in moving jobs offshore, not oil drilling.

mhendo?
Whooooosh.

Probably, but i’m never sure exactly how much attention people pay to Jac’s wild ravings. I could easily understand someone misinterpreting them.

Dude, no, what you said was totally funny and appropriate. I meant in general. Le Jackass or whatever is a lost cause. He’s not going to admit he’s wrong even if every God in human history showed up and told him to. So he’s either a lost cause or he’s just doing doing it to be an attention whore.

:smack:

No, no, I’m really that dense, or else I’m really that wise in my total lack of attention to his posts. Never mind, carry on.

I liked your comment. It was so appropriate to the situation I’m surprised no one had thought of it before.

However, reading your name, I can’t help but think that if you hadn’t been to one to make that witty remark, an American could have instead.

What an odd person you are.

When did this become about the way people feel about offshoring? I thought the debate centered around your various assertions that Americans are “stampeding away from IT.” This “80%” thing doesn’t really seem relevant unless you are going to assert that Americans cannot simultaneously be interested in IT jobs (as numerous posters in this thread have convincingly argued that they are) while also opposing the offshoring of those very jobs.

Feel free to return to your strange narrative about how you are winning whatever it is you think you’re discussing here and how everyone else is “on the defensive.”

The Black Knight always triumphs.

They’re stampeding away from most of the computer science-related fields, not just IT. And offshoring and the H1B madness are two of the primary reasons why. Yes, I know this is hard for people here to grasp.

The Black Knight doesn’t chop off his own arms like you and the rest of you Dopers do when you try to debate. You’re more like that guy from Walk Hard.

Shouldn’t you guys be going back to your “Jacquelope hates ALL trade with ANYONE” hysterics* that you’re so famous for on here?

  • hysterics. now there’s a sexist word that I’m surprised the censorship-happy Dope hasn’t raised their hackles about.

Good guess, but not quite. It has more to do with the fact that (almost) no one is interested in actually debating with you because you’re a raving fucktard.

I don’t read many of your posts in their entirety and I certainly make no effort to figure out what points you may or may not be making. You have no credibility and arguing / debating with you is beneath me. I don’t care what you think, and no matter what you post, I never will.

But I like to occasionally join in the track wreck that is you posting nonsense as the board laughs its collective ass off.

eta: Your last post hurt my feelings. I’m a sad panda. :frowning:

You can’t debate. You could fling poo if your arms were strong enough. Actually, you can spit it pretty damned far.

Funny, how I have little interest in anything you say, either. You can’t formulate a coherent thought to save your life.

80% of the rest of this country laughs its ass off at the opinions this forum puts forth when it comes to economics. That is, if even 1% of them even knew about you, which they don’t, and would wish they didn’t if they did.

In any case, reading anything else you have to say is beneath me. I would say I don’t care what you think - but you do not, and cannot think. Of course while you consider your random gibberish to be thinking, that again is your problem, not mine.

You will continue to throw temper tantrums at me but being a smarter man than you, and one not interested in wasting time on you, I will be silencing you for good from here on. You can feel free to fling poo at your four white walls.
