I feel like there was a perfect pause just when he could have blasted her on Benghazi (I think when she was talking about the stamina she had in testifying for hours on the Senate floor) and missed the chance completely.
Is he wearing a pointy hat, and is the staff on fire?
I suppose you’re right in theory. But let’s not kid ourselves. This Trump thing didn’t happen overnight. Trump was able to do what he did because of the racist, misogynistic, Islamaphobic, you name it, groundwork laid out by the Republicans.
If the Dems ever try to pull this shit, I imagine I’ll leave the party long before a Trump equivalent steps on stage.
What’s sad it he’s talking about the very same things she’s asking for 24 years later. Things Obama may have been able to make progress on if Congress hadn’t opposed him so consistently.
Can you expand on this? What about his look and sound was presidential?

Election Update: Early Polls Suggest A Post-Debate Bounce For Clinton
I think everyone here predicted this within minutes of the debate ending.
He obviously turned off the debate after the first 15 minutes…![]()
Trump: “The security aspect of cyber is very, very tough”
What the hell was this?
"“So we have to get very, very tough on cyber” Trump continued.
He seriously had no idea what he was talking about there. Of course, this was near the end of the debate, when he was exhausted and coming down from his previous (sniff sniff) high.
Yeah, it’s the 8th inning and the closer’s warming up in the bullpen. Just finish it, Hillary.
First the setup man, Kaine on the mound against Pence, next Tuesday.
Bet on Kaine, btw.
Hmmm…
Can Hillary do a Mr. Spock eyebrow raise?
If she could, she would have used it by now. I can’t and solemnly hate everybody who can.
I can do it with either eye. And it’s s useful skill in the corporate world.
One of the best things about this debate to me is, she’s got his number now. She can gaslight him at will – how cool is that? He couldn’t resist a single one, not even the Mark Cuban one she lit before the debate.
He’s going to be the one who comes into the next one intimidated and worried about what she can do to him. If he tries to unload on her like he does at his rallies (predicted), he’s going to look like the raving loon we already know him to be. If he manages to keep a lid on it for awhile, she’ll just niggle and niggle and niggle, knowing he won’t be able to resist sooner or later. “Shave-and-a-haircut…”
I don’t believe the town hall format will favor him, either. Again, not a rally. Connecting one-on-one with audience members is important, and he doesn’t have the attention span, let alone care about anyone else enough to connect with them, except through jingoism and shallow rhetoric. She’s been practicing for a long while with an exceptional coach.
He really hates strong, independent women. She’s got that going for her in spades.
Does anybody know if the third debate going to be done standing up or sitting? I assume they’ll have stools at the town hall, but in 2012 the third debate was done at a table.
Edit: It’s a garbage source of course, but Breitbart said a week ago that there hadn’t been a decision. I’d prefer that they have to stand again since Trump seemed to have a stamina issue.
Ddamn, Mr. Biden really rips into Mr. Trump there. I like Mr. Biden even more after watching that. Thanks for posting that link, septimus.
Excellent link. Thank you.
Amen!
It appears that Trump is pissed at his allies for suggesting he didn’t ace the debate.
Trump wants his supporters to make an energetic defense of his performance and refuse to concede that he didn’t nail it.
This proves, beyond a doubt, that you just can’t fix stupid. Fortunately, Trump’s case of the stupids is deep and long running. Keep up the good work Donald, see you at the next debate.
This surprises you? Remember, reality is less important than what people feel. Donald feels that he won the debate.
