In the second post JC moves a vague JAQing off OP to the pit. Even on a left leaning board a lot of people take it as an opportunity to make fun, directly or indirectly, of that OP. It only takes till post #11 for the troll word to get floated. Moving it to the Pit and letting the rest happen seems like excellent moderation to me.
I have a hard time seeing what rule got violated anyway to rate a warning. I could see a pattern of those types of threads over time resulting in some mod guidance to stop it. That would be justification but it depends on the guidance having been given.
And what you need to understand is that going out of your way to interpret something in a way that is favorable (or at least not unfavorable) to him does make it seem like you support him.
You’ve already moved the goalposts. No one said he had a sexual relationship with his daughter. We’re simply referencing the fact that he has bragged about how hot his daughter is, and said that, if she weren’t his daughter, he’d want to date her. We have actual video evidence of this.
The evidence was flat out given to you, so you can’t say you didn’t know. You see Trump being awful, and you try to twist it into it not being what it seems. You focus on maybe one word instead of the overall picture.
So, yeah, you come off as defending Trump. Why else do you need to try to make the objective evidence not seem as bad as it is?

The reason it’s linked here is that the OP of this thread cited it as an example of a post that should have been modded, as it was a “vile slur”. Running Coach countered that by claiming that Trump “was pleased when H. Stern described Ivanka as “a piece of ass”. He described her developing breasts and expressed his desire to be dating her”.
Please try to understand the context of a discussion before commenting on it, if possible.
Well, no. Not in reality. The post clearly was using Trump’s habit of making false claims and insisting upon their truth to make a false claim. How do I know that? She says so explicitly.
If you are trying to make a point about misrepresentation you are laughably undermining it.
So I’ll give you some badly needed help. I think Trump and Ivanka have had a sexual relationship since before she hit puberty.
On the whole, I find running coach’s remarks to be more true than false.
He incorrectly identified which daughter was one year old for that conversation, but Trump did express concern about how large her breasts would become.
Trump did agree that Stern could call his daughter, Ivanka, a “piece of ass”. While raving about how hot she is.
He did express the sentiment that, if she were not his daughter, he might be dating her. His statement at that time came off rather creepy, as in “and maybe even though she is my daughter” kind of way. But that’s a more subjective evaluation. Objectively, he asserted that she is hot enough that he would like to date her, if only…
As for the OP, a Warning and disappearing the thread are ridiculous requests.
You’re missing the boat. Even if your dubious interpretation of the GD post were correct, it wouldn’t apply here. running coach was clearly attempting to support the plain reading of that post as being about Donald and Ivanka Trump having a sexual relationship. So what’s relevant is whether his cites support that claim. Revisionist readings of the GD post are irrelevant.
