Juan Miró - Azul (Blue) I ,II & III

I’ve been criticized in the past for my taste in the arts, but here goes…

This is art? I’ve seen some of Miró’s other work, so its evident that he’s talented, but really… Azul III is considered Miró’s masterpiece? Its two dots. I don’t care what it meant to him, I think that you need a bit more to even consider that art. Furthermore, it sold for 1.6 million dollars! It’s two dots!

The other two are the same thing, but with more dots (oh wait, #2 has a strip of paint). So what is so special about this. Just because it may or may not have been expressive certainly doesn’t make it a masterwork.

I’ll take Picasso or Dalí any day.
