Judge Judy you rude bitch

The following text meets the minimum and all it does is make an empty space.

I just added a bit of text inside angle brackets. The brackets and the text count for the minimum length and the angle brackets make it invisible (because both Discourse and the browser treat it as an HTML markup, but the browser silently discards it since it’s not legal HTML).

In that specific case, I just added <invisible>. What’s in the brackets doesn’t matter, as long as it’s not a real HTML tag.

AIUI, the current minimum post length is set to 5 characters.

I was hoping that my comment – “How? --” four characters – would be self-evident smartassery, largely because adding a “/s” or a winking smiley face would have blown the whole thing wide open

But I appreciate the pointers, which – surely – another will find handy.

FWIW, I saw and appreciated it

Really? I once read an interview with her where she said that Trump is a successful businessman, but he shouldn’t be president. That’s not a MAGA position.

Of course they don’t advertise this, but she’s one of richest women in America, worth hundreds of millions of dollars. That she’s a Republican is not all that shocking.

ETA: (to be fair, Wikipedia lists her as a registered Independent; she voted for Obama and Clinton, but endorsed Nikki Haley most recently)

Here is a link to an article about it.

It sounds like a mixed bag. She opposes the hush money case, but also is not thrilled about him being president. She was a Haley supporter, although she doesn’t say who she supports in the general I suspect that she will probably end up going for Trump.

Wow, your vitriol very impressive! :100:

Edited:

I think it was an interview with Chris Wallace that was edited to highlight a section where she does say as a New York City real estate owner and taxpayer that Trump shouldn’t have been prosecuted and it was a waste of time and money while there was so much crime on the streets. She doesn’t sound like a MAGAt, but still doesn’t sound like someone who advocates for justice and the rule of law if she’s not outright disgusted by him. I guess I should listen to the rest of the interview, maybe it’s not so bad. But she certainly sounds like she had sympathy for him because he’s a fellow rich New Yorker.

I’ve become a fan of Judge Steve Harvey. Because he’s a comedian. He makes no effort to pretend he’s a real judge. He’s often reminding the participants and the viewers at home that he doesn’t know the law (though I believe he will still quote a legal fact now and then to support his opinion).

There’s a lot less BS on his show than similar shows. He will say straight up that it’s entertainment, and will compliment people on how good their stories are and how much fun they are. And he also reminds people that they’re going through the arbitration process, and doesn’t act like it’s a real lawsuit or anything.

I think the candor and the open goal of providing entertainment makes the show refreshing. Of course, if you don’t like Steve Harvey you’re not going to like the show, so YMMV.

I liked Judge Joseph Wapner because he was polite and explained the law to the parties. Judge Judy doesn’t seem to do that, but the whole point with her seemed to be that she is so rude; it’s essentially entertainment.

Yes Wapner was about a wise judge adjudicating disputes. Judge Judy was about a school marm bitch slapping stupid people who the audience felt deserved it.

Judge Wapner taught me that for a contract to be valid, there has to be an offer, acceptance and consideration.

I liked Judge Wapner, and Rusty too. I have no problem with Byrd on Judge Judy either.

Wapner! Almost forgot about him. I’m a JJ watcher. Like her later years. She gets razzed up but allows for rational explanations

Here’s a new Queen
