Judge Versus Defendent - No Holds Barred

Judge is removed from £3billion British Airways case after ranting about his lost luggage and threatening to grill their chief executive about where his suitcase had ended up.

That Judge Judy has a lot to answer for…

He is a link to an Atlanta Journal-Constitution legal blog write upthat includes a picture of the defendant. Not someone I’d want to meet in a dark alley. For several reasons.

The judge is now off the case, not surprisingly: Judge, murder suspect face off in profanity-laced exchange – WSB-TV Channel 2 - Atlanta

All he wanted was his lawyer show proof he killed somebody and to discuss his homosexual prowess and threaten mass murder. It’s not like he was ever going to get *less *jail time.

Exactly. Then the judge would send me back to talk to him and ask him if he would behave for the rest of the trial. If he would not or did not, he would be tried while viewing the proceedings by closed circuit TV. No way in hell would any judge I know engage a defendant like that.

Every once in a while you run into a party - or their atty - who seems primarily interested in pissing you off. Can be really tempting to be drawn in - especially at the end of a long day. You just have to have a rock solid practice of NOT ENGAGING. In such situations, silence on a ct transcript never got a judge in trouble. The judge always has the opportunity to issue the decision. Far more important than dick measuring.

Or sucking.

Heh heard from someone in my firm that they are putting together an in-house PD course on something like ‘professionalism and decorum in the courtroom’ and he’s using this clip!

I’ll have to make a point of attending that one.

Is there really a clip of this? Where?

I mean the animated Rick-and -Morty version.
