yesterday. I got it for $80, and it’s the best money I’ve spent in years. In the picture the mat is folded up, but basicially it’s a mat that sits on the bottom of the tub and produces UNBELIEVEABLE amounts of bubbles, like a jaccuzi. I actually had to turn mine DOWN because it was so bubbly. For once, a product that lives up to the picture on the box. I can’t wait to get out of work and jump in the tub!
Men- this is THE gift for your signifigant other (if he/she likes to take baths)Oh, and don’t put any bubble bath in the tub or you’ll be up to your armpits in it.
Ahhhhhhhhh…great for sore backs and legs. Just thought I’d share that with everyone! Go lay one away today if you can’t shell out all the cash at once! Get one! You deserve it!
We had one of those when I was a kid. The part I loved best was closing the shower doors, dumping a big gob of bubble bath into the water and letting the bubbles rise above my head - STANDING UP!
The part I didn’t like was that the air made the bath water turn cold really fast. Do the new models heat the air?
Diane,
It doesn’t heat the water, but I drew it hot-tub hot, so it was still plenty hot even when I got out. I didn’t notice any signifigant water temp change at all. Now I wish I had a tub I could try the bubble trick in!
Zette
DREAMING of going home and lounging while dinner cooks. Ahhhhhh…
Zette, I’d get one of those, but the people who built my condo complex put these mini baths in for some reason. I swear, they must be for midgets or something! I can barely sit down in the damn thing. I can’t wait to move into a new house. In the meantime, can I come over and use yours?
Jump in! Actually, Demo- the tub I used it in is a small one, too. I haven’t tried it in my upstairs tub, which is much wider and more comfy. The mat itself is pretty narrow, so it would even fit in a small tub. Then when you move, take it with ya!
Oooooo… I want one. Much cheaper than redecorating my bathroom and putting a jacuzzi in. I too have a not too big bathtub, but I fit in it a lot better than I used to.
Hey, what is the deal with minitubs? Ripped apart bathroom with my dad when I was 15, had to install a smaller tub (5’) when we couldn’t get a 6’ tub in (old tub was 5’7"). Haven’t had 10 baths since. Used to love to lie in tub and read, with water up to my chin. To do that now, I’d have my feet halfway up wall, as my tub is no larger (and the hot water is the right side knob, previous owner big DIY guy).
Totally lurkernomore. I redid one of my mom’s bathrooms last summer and there is just no space in newer house to put large tubs. Well, ones that i can afford right now anyway… Sad, sad, sad…
