Just because I didn't like it, doesn't mean I didn't play it. (long)

Read and responded to, TM and Darkhold. I hope you’ll be joining us at The Mysterious Site I Won’t Name, mainly because I don’t want to see Pit threads with “Why’d you trash <title>?” and my name…

EverQuest was incredibly addictive…right up until the second I got into the WoW Alpha (now in Beta), courtesy of one of my guildmates who works for Blizzard.

I literally just logged in last night to EQ for the first time in almost 3 months to say hi to my non-WoW beta guildmates (we’re actually on online gaming community, not just an EQ guild).

Omfg, I haven’t had this much fun in an MMORPG in years. <3 WoW.

Not sure how I feel about some of the changes they’re instituting in this next push (downloading the new WoW Beta client as we speak, 2 hours 27 minutes left!!) yet, but hey, that’s what betas are for, right?

Are you playing WoW presently, or just heavily anticipating?

This is completely unrelated to my OP, but I just got my copy of Geneforge 2 in. If you want to try out one of the most in-depth roleplaying games you’ll ever play, check out Geneforge and Geneforge 2 from Spiderweb Software (www.spiderwebsoftware.com). Two of the finest old-school-style RPGs ever. Ignore the ugly graphics.

Tanookie and I played a LOT of Diablo 2 so we picked up a couple copies of Sacred the other day. It has only been a few days but so far we like the game.

It does have some bugs (like quests not always working right) and other issues but so far they haven’t bothered us all that much and supposedly a patch to address them is in the works.

SpiderWeb is my favorite developer, both for their AWESOME games and because they’re great people who always helped me out when I was starting my sites.

Here’s a reccomendation for the Avernum series. Morelin, the Final Fantasy addict, had to be pried off of Avernum 3. I was trying to review the first Avernum and played it for a month before I finally turned in the review…and I was only about a third done.

Kinda funny - I just stumbled across DeadlyAccurate’s review. I was reading the Sacred forums about the 1.6 patch that just came out and somebody had linked to a site with a bad review. I went to the site and noticed a woman’s name for as the reviewer. Thinking that it might DeadlyAccurate’s review I checked out the forum thread for the review and found the exact comments that she mentions here.

Bwa ha ha ha! What surprised me was that anyone agreed with me.
