Im in nyc for 6 mos on an internship (from Boston) and I thought I’d give myself the opportunity to conquer the isle of Manhattan on a spiffy new (used) mountain bike. I picked up a 2001 Rocky MountainEdge .
I got a decent deal for it ($500, barely ridden) and I’m hoping it’ll last. Every bike I’ve owned in the past has eventually turned into a money pit so I hope the same doesnt hold true for this one.
I cant wait to go home and ride it.

I’m still trying to convince myself that I can learn to ride a bike (I never learned as a child…so now at almost 30, I plan to learn this summer).

Sounds like a good deal. My biking in the States has been restricted to Yellowstone, but I think it’s a good sport for anywhere.
The snow’s just melting here, so I can bring my bike out too. Didn’t get such a good deal on it: $2000 CAD with free tune-ups for life. Woulda been good if the store hadn’t folded the next year. :rolleyes:
