...just bought Sid Meier's Pirates! on Steam, and...

…I had forgotten what an amazingly simple, yet fantastic and addictive game it was. Cannons! Sword fighting! Dancing! Sneaking! So much fun, and it cost me less than a cup of coffee: $2.50 on special.

Just needed to share. Now its back to the oceans!

Double post, oops.

Ha. I just found my copy of it in some boxes we’re sorting through. PC version of Pirates! Live the Life, that is. I played the original on a Commodore 64 back in the 80s, while fighting with my brothers for the right to play a single player game.
One of the best video games of all time, and yet is still capable of getting better. I’d like to see it as a MMO.

I loved Pirates! I really wish they would make a sequel of some type. I’ve played Port Royale, and I thought it was just OK. Any suggestions?

Fantastic game. I loved the original so much that I bought this the day it went on sale…then I picked up a Steam copy during one of the cup of coffee sales. If it wasn’t for the dancing (and travelling west to east), it would be the perfect game.
