Well, he is a little old man. He’s 63.
I had the good fortune to go to the Carter-Barron Ampitheater outside of Washington D.C. in the mid-60’s to see Peter/Paul/Mary. Some long-haired hippy came out and opened for them. He played some song which seemed to go on forever(Canadian Railroad Trilogy). He weren’t too bad. Made a mental note to find out more about this guy at the time.
The other thing that happened was, after listening to my heroes sing, they brought out this ultimate dweeb who had written a song for them- Leaving on a jet plane. John Denver. Who could have predicted that he would be leaving life later on a lighter-than-air plane?
