Known To Be True:[ul]
[li]US Rep. Haley Stevens (D-11th District) of Michigan and supporters scheduled a town hall meeting in Commerce Township, MI[/li][li]The meeting was held at the Multi Lakes Conservation Association.[/li][li]The meeting in fact took place at the indoor gun range located there.[/li][li]The topic of the meeting was gun control.[/li][li]Pro- and anti- gun control advocates attending got into a heated shouting match.[/li][/ul]OK, what I’ve heard alleged and would like some factual input on:[ul]
[li]The organizers tried to conceal the agenda of the meeting from the general public.[/li][li]It was intended to be packed with gun control advocates by the organizers, so they could claim that most of the people there supported gun control.[/li][li]This plan was thwarted when word got out and pro-gun people flocked to the meeting to protest.[/li][/ul]So: planned propaganda stunt, or not? Inquiring minds want to know.
I don’t have any first-hand knowledge to answer your questions, but here is an interesting media report on the matter:

Shouting “The NRA has got to go” seems unlikely to bolster her chances of re-election in that district.
