The two guys charged with installing those Aqua Teen Hunger Force promos that sparked a bomb scare. They would only answer questions about hair styles.
I stated my opinion on the bomb scare kerfuffle in the multi-page Pit thread. These guys did not deliberately set out to cause a panic, it was not their idea, and so forth. They were in a very unfortunate position at that press conference, or whatever you call it. It’s not up to them to defend this ad campaign, and in fact, it might be that Turner Broadcasting was remiss in not assigning them a spokesperson.
But they didn’t have a spokesperson, and it’s practically impossible to avoid putting your foot in your mouth when reporters are bombarding you with questions. Even “No comment” can go awry. So I have to give them props for finding a way to frustrate the press. People who were inclined to hold them responsible are not going to think any less of them now, and people who think they’re unfairly being made scapegoats probably think highly of their ability to think under pressure. I know I do.
