I think that is all wishful thinking. I doubt that even Democrats can be counted on to vote against Trump’s nominee. Heitkamp, Tester and Manchin all are trying to win re-election in Trump country, and will probably vote for any nominee without horns and cloven hooves. They voted for Gorsuch.
