Justice League - is Superman too powerful?

Yeah, that’s always been the problem with Superman.

Superman is too powerful (ok, post-Klan he is…). And, in Zack Snyder’s hands, too cold and one-dimensional. So I’m not sure you’ll see a good Superman story on the big screen for a while…

But on TV, it looks like you can! I loved the analysis of the new CW show, from the SUPERMAN & LOIS thread:

I’ve often said that it’s impossible to write good stories about Superman, but that you can write good stories about Clark Kent: You need to present him with problems that can’t be solved with superpowers.

The cinematography was gorgeous. It was shot more like a movie; very like Man of Steel…

Unlike Man of Steel it was written by people that understood how to write a good Superman story.
You need confront the Man of Steel with challenges he cannot just punch into submission - a father having a heart attack, a mother having a stroke, a teenager having an anxiety attack. I hope the show maintains this quality going forward.
