It looks like you’re attempting to make an analogy here. You appear to have missed the mark, though. The analogue for thinking taxes are too high would be just not paying your taxes.
If you want the lobbying for change to the tax code to be your analogy, you have to make your action against the murderer stop at “lobbying to have due process rights revoked.”
In that case, couldn’t we argue that the whole system is wrong and unjust? This isn’t justice to me. It’s state sponsored murder. If society is okay with it, it’s broken.
