Did any of the family members of victims of KAL 007 (a 747 shot down by the Soviets on Sept. 1, 1983) ever receive their loved one’s remains? Was there ever a judgement against the Soviets for “wrongful death” or anything like that?
The US wasn’t quite as lawsuit crazy back then as it is now, as I don’t recall any wrongful death lawsuits being filed. And I recall that at least some of the bodies were recovered, but I don’t think all of them were.
