Can I get a holler back? Karen Allen (Katy in “Animal House”/ Marion in “Raiders of the lost ark”, among others) has always been my cinematic dream girl. She does “girl next door w/ edge” better than anyone. She’s amazingly hot.

I met her a few years ago. I was introduced by a co-worker, a friend of mine who told her immediately, “Karen, this is [Pseudotriton ruber ruber], who has had a wicked crush on you for years and years,” and as I melted between the floorboards, enjoyed my embarrassment richly. She was very sweet, and very smart, and took it in the spirit intended. I guess she knew my friend’s style pretty well.

Yes, absolutely. Even though I have been madly in love with Karen Allen ever since I was, oh, about 6, I can tell you without any hesitation at all who I’d rather recreate that scene with Quentin Tarantino and the bottle of beer with.
