Near waterholes, Elephants will sometimes trample cattle.
Elephants are huge and strong. They will trample anything in their way. They will tear through fence lines. Occasionally they will go on a rampage if they feel threatened. A female elephant that senses her calf is threatened will do anything to protect it. Sometimes villages will experience the wrath. I love elephants but they are not always slow, kind, gentle creatures.
The first day, I shot two bucks. That was the biggest game we had.
In your pajamas?
Too bad they couldn’t mount his head on a wall.
So true. We normally excuse animals for killing persons.
The animal doing animal things is an excuse. A good one? You decide.
We have deer hunters killed every year by deer. Who, it seems have had enough of these monkey men shooting at them
…
Then I remember the two deer who tried to kill me.
I decided they had a hit out on me. Damn those mafioso deer!
No they didn’t. They tried to cross the road I was driving on and I didn’t see them. Smacked both and nearly was killed.
I was in their way. I was encroaching. They were minding their own business doing deer things.
I still hate them. Painful 3 years will do that to a person.
(I realize I’m collateral damage in a big hunting area)
Sounds like he got winegraped.
Karma indeed.
Nope! Whinegraped is when you do it to yourself
Even when you are gentle, just being that big and strong still makes you dangerous.
Maybe Arkansas Fish & Game could start a campaign on how tasty they are when they’re BBQ’d right and charge hefty fees to hunt them.
Kind of like King Rat, only bigger.
King decides he and his friends should breed rats to sell for food. His comrades, though nearly starving themselves, are repelled by the idea of eating rat meat, so King comes up with the plan of only selling the meat to officers without telling them the true source. A group of officers who stole money from their underlings are later seen greedily enjoying a meal of what they are told is mouse deer (rusa tikus in Malay), not knowing they are actually eating rat meat.
Not even safe to butcher.
No one I know would eat a feral hog.
Wild hog is a different beast. I believe they are rare. Anymore.
Feral hogs have killed, over bred and run off what was here decades ago.
Of course not, but I wasn’t thinking any of the suckers hunters would be local. They’d be rich tech-bros from out of state.
Ahh. Well, in South Arkansas the big game hunters are all hunting Bigfoot. Don’t ya know?

If it’s any consolation to you, I for one have had that earworm ever since seeing the thread title, but I have dignifiedly refrained from yelling at you for it.
