I think it was in Outrage that Bugliosi walked through the steps that would have had to happen had OJ actually been framed. His list is pretty much unchallengeable (as far as “how did glove get there, how did blood get here,” etc.) and if the basic prosecution case is not accurate, the things that created the evidence are somewhere outside both the laws of probability AND the laws of physics.
Like the JFK case, you can only make counter-arguments by cherry-picking your points and ignoring all contrary evidence, much of which is quite solid.
I had never really thought of this possibility until our new OP friend brought it up. Now, of course, it all seems clear as day.
Kato Kaelin has only one less K in his name than the Ku Klux Klan has in theirs. I also happen to know that his real middle name is actually Kubby which cinches it.

In his book “Journey into Darkness” FBI serial killer expect John Douglas has an absolutely definitive chapter on the killings. Four cops, two who didn’t know the other two, decided to frame O.J. before they even knew if he had an air tight alibi! And one of them was two months ways from retiring with a spotless record. They were willing to lose their jobs, their pensions, and risk prison just to frame O.J. for a double murder? How dumb do these cops have to be.
How did the killer manage to kill two people at once with little blood on his clothes. Nicole’s throat was sliced, nearly decapitating her while the killer held her from behind, and the blood went forward. After she was dead, other cuts were issued. Douglas thinks that O.J. was going to try to make it look like a robbery and/or sex crime gone wrong, but then Goldman came on the scene, and he had to kill him and get the hell out of there, in time to make his limo and establish an alibi.
Not at the time of the murders. The recent miniseries showed him with long hair because people tend to remember him during the trial and afterwards, when he had shoulder-length hair. But during the depositions, shortly after the murders, his hair was short(er) and spiky.
Yeah…I see what you mean. It COULD be that he was just, you know, under the influence of something, but using Occam’s Razor (and making sure we are well grounded by our industrial strength irony detector), the easiest and least complex plausible theory MUST be that he was glassy eyed and blood shot because he had just committed the murder of the century, using complex Machiavellian strategy that would make Sherlock Holmes weep while hiding such a towering intellect under the facade of an idiot!

The motive for your hypothetical Killer Kato K. doesn’t make much sense to me. Why would a financially insecure houseguest kill the woman he was staying with, frame her husband, and leave their two children without parents? Wouldn’t he be destabilizing his present living situation & risking future living situations? Oh, sure, hypothetically, someone might take the risks involved in that, but it’s asking for a lot of personal hassle with likely no upside.
Orenthal Simpson had a history of domestic violence. That’s where the police looked from the beginning, that’s the likely explanation.

I kind of want to hear how the OP explains how Kato arranged for: (a) the killer to have the same shoe size as OJ; (b) OJ to seriously gash his hand on the night of the murders without remembering how he did it; © OJ to blatantly lie (by claiming to have been sleeping) to the limo driver who saw him entering his house just before he was due to be picked up.
Kato Kaelin always struck me as barely being able to remember “first pants, then shoes”.

And with even less plausible deniability*: While receiving counseling in prison from football player turned minister Rosie Greer, O.J. blurted out loudly enough for a guard to hear. “I did it! I didn’t mean to!” Unfortunately for the prosecution, Judge Ito ruled the guard’s testimony inadmissible despite legal precedents that overheard privileged conversations are admissible as evidence.
*Although in arguing against allowing the guard to testify, Johnnie Cochran made a game attempt by suggesting that the guard could have overheard the last part of a sentence like “Can you believe that people think I did it?”
