…in the 1953 movie, the Army decides to "immobilize’ Gort (by casting him in a block of GL-70 (wasn’t that the stuff that prevents cavities?)), yet he burns his way out. Do ya suppose in the remake, the army would have something better?
Also, the astophysicist (played by Sam jaffee)-would the alien give him the solution to superstring physics?

Probably because he was ill. But he told us where we stand!

Maybe they’ll show this as a double-feature.

How does a remake of Death Wish grab everyone?
[/QUOTE]
Just fine, so long as they stick to the story about a lone vigilante enticing and whacking muggers, and don’t try to re-envision it into something else, like a lone vigilante hunting Islamic terrorists or right-wing militia terrorists or corporate malefactors or government conspirators.
With crime rates down, the original plot just isn’t as timely now as it was in 1974.
But that’s no excuse.

I’d say Doctor X is ripe for a remake!

Sure. It’s called a “stop-loss.” Immobilizes like you wouldn’t believe.

Didn’t they just do this with Jodie Foster in the lead?
Wasn’t there a remake of Casablanca done in the early 1980’s? I think it was called Caboblanco? I think Charles Bronson was doing the Humphrey Bogart’s role as Rick.

Didn’t David Soul do one?
