Keeping the red-hot Mexican directors straight

I don’t have too much of a problem, but sometimes I forget who did what film, so this might help someone else too. I’m just listing their films that got attention in America. Cuarón and Iñárritu were born in Mexico City, while del Toro was born in Guadalajara. Congratulations to these fine filmmakers. I like that they’re friendly and supportive of each other. Way to go guys!
Alfonso Cuarón

Children Of Men (2006) (one of the best films of the year)
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) (my favorite HP so far)
Y tu mamá también (2001) (funny and heartbreaking)
Great Expectations (1998) (I hated it at the time, but now I want to see it again)
A Little Princess (1995) (delightful and enchanting)
Alejandro González Iñárritu

Babel (2006) (an excellent film)
21 Grams (2003) (intense, with brilliant acting)
Amores perros (2000) (I haven’t seen this yet)
Guillermo del Toro

Pan’s Labyrinth (2006) (El Laberinto del Fauno) (one of the year’s best)
The Devil’s Backbone (2001) (El Espinazo del diablo) (I haven’t seen it yet)
Hellboy (2004) (Was Ok, I liked it)
Blade II (2002) (Was OK, I liked it)
**Mimic ** (1997) (Was OK, I liked it)
Cronos (1993) (I haven’t seen it)

I forgot to add their IMDB pages.

Guillermo del Toro

that actually helps.

I’ve been trying to sell my wife on a couple of these movies (she’s interested in Children of Men) and I can’t keep 'em straight.

I’m like, “that’s the guy who did Amores Perros or one of the Harry Potters or Y Tu Mama Tambien. . .all I know is that it’s not Pedro Almodovar.”

Glad I could help! Pedro’s from Spain, in case you weren’t sure.
