I have a hand held electronic Yatzee game. I got this game in January of 1998. It is still working with the same battery. ONE AA battery. I have never replaced it.
How long can it last?
I realize that it can’t use much energy but 5 years???

Umm… I know of a lightbulb that’s been burning for 17 years (except during the sporadic power outages of course) …
The remote control for my mother’s TV has been running on the same batteries since 1983. (My father always used to put date labels on batteries, so we know exactly when they were put in).
So sometimes, batteries can last 20 years.
I won’t say which brand, because I don’t want to get into that argument, but it was one of the top two brands.
Oh, and aeropl, you might like this story about lightbulbs.
