kerosene in my backseat

How do you get the smell of kerosene out of a car. A friend spilled some in my backseat. We tried shampooing it, I took it to the detail place, nothing works. I even tried one of those christmas tree air fresheners. Any suggestions?

Leave the windows open and let itself vent out naturally. Thats the only thing I’ve found to work (with gasoline at least). Gasoline has a much lower flash point than kerosene, so it might take a bit longer.

Just a suggestion, I don’t know if it will work.
