Kerry. Pro or anti assault rifle?

My understanding is that he voted for the Pogo Pope before he voted against the Pogo Pope and he threw his Twinkies over the White House fence in 1971. Of course, I got this information from Dan Rather so please don’t ask me for a cite.

tracer, you have made it clear that the problem isn’t guns, it’s MOVIES!

We all need to write our senators and congressmen RIGHT NOW and DEMAND that they ban any and all forms of entertainment (movies, video games, computer programs, cartoons, comic books, DVDs, VCRs, BetaMax’s, cassette tapes, 8-tracks, records, etc.) which contain reference to killing, guns, firing from the hip, quick draw (bye bye Quick-draw McGraw), target shooting, wars, combat, duelling, murder, manslaughter, intentional wounding, assault, violent harassment and swearing.
It is only with quick and decisive action to prevent this direct brain programming of our children (and adults who are still children mentally due to excessive TV watching) that we will be able to prevent the millions of firearms deaths annually and restore peace upon this great nation of ours. Hallelujah!

The “exclusive interview” in Outdoor Life turns out to be mostly fabrication, patched together of data points from - among other things - a questionnaire that a Kerry staffer filled out. Just sloppy, misleading journalism and lots of people waiting for any excuse to pounce on a decent man.

John Kerry owns an old military bolt-action rifle - most likely a Moisin-Nagant. Not an assault rifle. Link.

I now await the inevitable spin where an erroneous statement being corrected is labeled a flip-flop.
