gigi, I wouldn’t think so, because if the Park indicator comes on, then the gear position switch is doing its job. It could be one of a number of other components in the key interlock system, but a look at the wiring diagram doesn’t point to any particular one.
Thanks for the info. It’s one of those little idiosyncracies I deal with but I’d hate to explain it to the next person. Like how I have to hit the fuse area below the dash to make certain things work, like the intermittent wipers.
