Kia Forte5 Power Seats question

My wife just bought a Kia Forte5 and I’m trying to figure out something about the power seats, and maybe you folks with a similar type of power seat configuration could help:

Is there a way to disable or reset the “opening/closing” position of the seats? That is, when I turn off the car, the seat automatically moves backwards to, I presume, allow for the driver to more easily exit the vehicle. The problem is for the passenger in the back and the carseat there. If I put the rear-facing one in and turned off the car, it would run up against it.

Perhaps I’m missing something really obvious. I’ve never driven a car with this type of seat position memory. I tried adjusting the seat with the car off; when it turns on, it adjusts to my preferred driver setting (1). That’s fine. But when I turn it off, the seat moves all the way back again. Is this really how fancier powered seats work these days?

Surely, there’s a way to turn off this function, right? I quickly looked through the seat section in the manual and I didn’t find anything about this. Help?

Anyhow, I will give the dealer a call if I don’t figure anything out in the meantime; just curious if anyone else has had this issue.

Never mind. I figured it out. Googled a bit more, less specifically, and found a Ford user with the same question, and it was in the menu system on the dashboard (the menu accessible from the steering wheel) Under something like “convenience settings.” It had been set to “extended” for “Easy in/out.” Phew. Glad it was that simple.

Four minutes. I tells ya, da dope is amazing, not slipping at all.

Oh, shush, you! Somehow, I hadn’t thought to leave the whole “Kia Forte” (to get more general results of other makes that may have a similar power seating implementation) out of my Google search until after I posted the OP.
