Any Kia Optima Owners experience issues where the car door(s) lock(s) INSTANTLY defaults to the locked position not allowing you to exit the vehicle? Apparently this was especially true of the 2006 model. But, reports do not explain how owners GOT OUT! Clearly, they did get out to post this issue on car websites. One says he could roll down the window and use the exterior door handle, but others read like it’s hopeless [and I wonder if they are perpetually stuck!

most cars I’ve owned in the past 20 years, if the door is locked it’ll automatically unlock when you pull the interior release handle. some (newer Fords) might require two pulls for the rear doors.
