It was tough between Elaine and Kramer, but I guess I just find Elaine to be a little less funny. So she goes.

Not having “all and Seinfeld himself” as an option I went George. Someone gotta die? Let George do it!
Spinal Tap called, they want Kramer to replace Gummo Marx as their drummer.
Elaine. Both George and Kramer are necessary for the show to be that show.
Kramer goes.
In the original run, i couldn’t stand him. I was always focused on what trouble George would get into, and found him off-putting and out-of-place. Watching it again last year, I developed a great appreciation for Richards’ physical comedy. It’s not easy being that ridiculous on purpose. I really enjoyed the fact that I could watch a show I knew so well that I could almost quote entire episodes, and yet still find something else wonderful that I could enjoy for the first time.
BUT. . . Kramer just isn’t as vital to the plot. George can’t go. Who the hell would Larry David get to live out all of his ideas, and events lifted from his real life? Elaine? There’s a balance there with Elaine that’s hard for me to define, but I think she’s necessary, perhaps as a balance to George. I’ll have to think on that some.
Of course, we all know who SHOULD get the heave-ho. NEWMAN!
George was always by far the weakest character. Many times during the run I couldn’t help thinking: No one would be friends with this jerk. No one. (Let alone any woman dating him.)
Over and over he dragged the show down. Off with his head.
(We are currently watching the show from start to finish. Tonight we start the pre-finale clip show. So it’s all quite fresh in my mind.)
Beat me to it. The four of them, and throw in Newman and you got a deal.
I voted Kramer. If he wasn’t on the show, I might have liked it. “The Pen” remains the only episode I like.
