Kill Zone 2/Raid Type Movie Recs

I just finished Kill Zone 2 on Netflix. Awesome. Just awesome. In the same vein, I love the Raid: Redemption. Don’t get me wrong… I love old Kung Fu movies, but these newer fast paced martial arts movies really do it for me. What other movies like this should I watch?

Just for the record, I’ve seen parts of Ong Bak and Kill Zone. I’ve seen Man from Nowhere.

I know I need to watch Raid 2, but I’ve been saving it for the next time I need a good movie (like an airplane or something like that).

What do the Teeming Millions have for me? Or if you just want to talk about the awesomeness of Kill Zone 2, I’m good with that too!

Watch every Jackie Chan movie made, for one.

Ong Bak is great, but the sequels less so.

Tony Jaa’s The Protector is pretty good.

How about the Ip Man flicks? Those are varying levels of decent.

Raid 2 is good but not as good as R:R.

Iron Monkey was good but not great.

Jet Li’s Fearless is great.

Kung Fu Hustle is better than great and Shaolin Soccer is fun too.

Chocolate has some great fight scenes if you can get past the stereotypes (I can).

If you want some serious visual style mixed in with your fight scenes, try Goemon and/or Bunraku.

I take it you’ve seen Dredd? Not that it’s a martial arts flick,but it was much compared to The Raid:Redemption.

As for you - seen most of Jackie Chan’s.

Haven’t ever taken the time to watch the Protector. Thanks for reminding me of that one.

Seen Ip Man, Fearless (huge fan), iron monkey, and Kung Fu Hustle.
