KISS: Which was which?

A word of explanation:
I had been organizing the approximately 3,300 fonts on my computer and encountered one called “Die Nasty,” which included the greasepainted faces of the original members of KISS. Although I am not a rock fan I know the likenesses and the names, but, other than Gene Simmons, I did not know which face went with which name. When I started to key in this information in the text box, the browser cut out. I tried to use Edit to restore the information, but a notice appeared saying I have to clear this with the administrator. I attempted to do so, and this required sending an e-mail. There the matter stood.
For the record, in the font Die Nasty the pictures appeared in the positions of the brackets, the backslash and the caret (positive image); and the grave accent, the brevets and the “toothpick,” that is, the three keys immediately to the right of the “O” on most keyboards (Negative image).
So Gene Simmons’ birth name was Chaim Weitz? I understand he was born in Israel…

Great, somebody spilled virtual wite-out all over this

I realised my error soon after I posted, then thought, “eh, close enough.”

But does the font have Eric Carr?

I know he wasn’t original equipment, but he had the best hair.

Whom did Eric Carr replace? I suppose he assumed the same getup–and facial look.
Some kids’ magazine suggested that without his makeup, Gene Simmons looked like Alfred E. Neuman!

Eric Carr replaced drummer Peter Criss.

But whereas Criss had always used cat makeup, but chose to go with fox makeup.

Strangely enough, Eric’s real first name was Paul. And Ace Frehley’s real first name was Paul, too. But Paul Stanley’s real first name was Stanley!

There were six total face paint looks. The four orignals, Eric Carr had the Fox and Ace was replaced by Vinnie Vincent who had a Ankh look.

Mark St. John and Bruce Kulick were only members during the non-makeup phase.

The current members use the four original looks when they do the makeup now.

I just now got your user name.

Yes, I’ve been reading Terry Pratchett and am nearly finished with the Death series.

I was trying to picture how an Ankh would be positioned on the face. The loop around the mouth? But No; that’s too far out even for KISS.
According to Wikipedia, they do lots of things in their act that are just plain weird… [Shrug]

Here’s how an Ankh fits on a face. That one didn’t last long, just one poorly attended past-their-prime tour, and then the makeup came off.

And for the curious, here’s what they looked like without makeup in 1974. (L-R: Gene, Peter, Ace, and Paul)
