OK…I kiss alot…I love kissing
soooo…who invented kissing,if indeed,you can say it was invented…
who gave the first kiss to whom.?
This is all half-remembered stuff pieced together from several psych classes and they are all theories, so take them with a grain of salt.
-There’s a theory that kissing started when mothers would chew food then give it to their toddlers like birds. This is a type of closeness shared with family and one could make a Freudian agrument.
-Kissing puts two people together very closely. Scents and saliva (read pheromones) are exchanged. This requires love and increases feelings of trust.
-Beyond all that, it just feels good. To quote Rodgers and Hammerstein:
Who can explain it?/
Who can tell you why?/
Foolish men question./
Wise men never try.
Go forth and snog and welcome to the boards!
Is kissing present in every culture? I remember hearing the Inuit rubbed noses because the women used their mouths as a tool to soften whale blubber.
Umm I don’t know why I know that so let me know if that is false.
