Man! I didn’t check the dates on this thread, and was happily reading through it, when I was brought up short by a post by some geek chortling over the addition of Linotype Sabon to his colophon collection.
DID NOT RECOGNIZE IT until I glanced over to see the postername.
My Tivo picked up an episode of “A Cook’s Tour” that goes to the places in featured in Kitchen Confidential, like Les Halles. It’s called “My Life as a Cook”. I haven’t gotten around to watching it yet, but I’ll still say you should look out for it if you liked the book.
