Kitty Genovese murderer denied parole this month

Another thread reminded me of the infamous 1964 murder of Kitty Genovese.

A week an a half ago, the now-78-year-old murderer was denied parole.

The murder is not something I think about often. I only became aware of it from Harlan Ellison’s (inaccurate, as it turns out) article that was reprinted in one of his books. I never stopped to wonder if the guy was still alive.

Good. Not even the most gullible bleeding heart would think that someone like this could be rehabilitated, I hope:

according to wiki.

I emphatically do not believe in the death penalty as a form of torture or vengeance, but I do fully believe that it is justified to humanely euthanize people like this, for the same reason you humanely euthanize a vicious dog.

Wow. I was just a tween at the time, so I read about it and knew about, but not entirely. I never realized that they actually caught the perp and put him away. This thread is the first I knew of that.

Ignorance fought.
