I have permission to post this:
I’m a science/chemistry teacher at a very small charter school. I’m the only physical science teacher here, and I have no one here to ask deep questions for the first AP chem class I’ve taught. I’ve hired an email tutor, but I keep stumping him. I suspect he’s a college upperclassman who thought he was going to get procedural questions from high schoolers.
I’d like to hire someone who can answer conceptual questions via email about a Gen Chem level class, and I’m sure there are several people on the SDMB who could do it. I would pay going tutor rates (better, because there’s not an agency taking a cut).
For example, my current problem is being stuck on reading the answer manual’s solution for finding the entropy change of the surroundings when 10g of acetone condenses at its boiling point. I can email the pdf answer manual to be a help.
My email is in my profile. Please mention your qualifications in this area. Thanks!
