I hate coming here to ask questions like these, but I’m flat-out stumped. Googling “how to search for user profiles” just brings up non-relevant hits.
Sometimes on a street view 360 image, an individual contributor is credited for taking the photo.
Here’s an example from Google Maps: Up on the left side you can click on “Shawn McCracken” and go to his user profile, and scan through all the photos he’s provided.
Here’s an example on Mapillary: On the bottom right it says “Image by KRM” which expands a menu showing all their contributions.
I’m trying to find a method to search for individual people’s names/profiles BY name.
Things that don’t work:
google search site:www.google.com/maps (search username or name). Does not work with Mapillary, either.
Googling usernames and real names doesn’t link to Google Maps profiles.
What kinda works but not very well: Google search “(name)+Google Maps Profile”.
It’d be great if there was some hidden search function. I mean, how do you follow contributors you want to keep up with? Mapillary seems to have the fullest profile and one would think there would be some method to search for individuals.
