I saw a French movie where this guys friend sent him Butterfly Chrysalis and it occurred to me one could be a butterfly collector if there were a source of chrysalis. I found one Australian site that sold one and a couple of sites that said they knew of no such sellers. Do you know of any place that sells butterfly chrysalis?
You might want to try Carolina Biological . They sell supplies for science classes.
A Google search produced several.

There are more.
Our local library had some in a case in the childrens area; when they hatched we released the butterflies to go south. We obtained the eggs from our local University in Minneapolis.
If you live near a Monarch migration, you can plant milkweed, and there’s a chance you can grow your own chrysalis. I’m not sure what end of the migration you have to be at, but my friend always gets at least a couple every year.
