Koke Lor: Erotic Khmer Art

When I follow the link, my antivirus software says its found an exploit called HTML/IframeRef.gen, and then says I must restart the computer to completely clean it out.

So I recommend deleting the link entirely.

Another vote for “terrible.” Those breasts couldn’t look faker if the models had just taped big balloons to their chests. I was trying to think of the guy whose work it reminded me of from the '70s (and not in a good way) and mbh saved me a Google search: Boris Vallejo. The fact that it’s got a hint of Cambodian flavor doesn’t make it original. Or good.

You mean there’s not??!? Holy revelation!

Update: Well, like his art or not, it’s interesting that Cambodians are so up in arms about the artist and his work, and Post and Telecommunications Ministry is investigating ways of shutting down Lor’s website. There’s a Bangkok Post article here: bangkokpost.com/news/investigation/9560/khmer-blue-has-purists-seeing-red.

I normally don’t link to that newspaper’s stories, because they seem to require payment for viewing after a certain amount of time has lapsed, but it’s available for free at this moment and rather interesting.

You can see the artist’s own comments on the hubbub here: reahu.net.

The links may not be safe for work, even though these are rather mild, especially the newspaper story.

No shit. He’s even got a couple Gath of Baal pictures in there.

There’s some good information on the government’s attempts to censor Cambodian artists online here.

Wait, is this right?

I didn’t follow the link in the OP, but I clicked on the link for the samurai chick and didn’t get any warning from my virus protection.

If I got a virus on my brand new computer on account of that stupid tacky thing I’m going to cry.

I can’t say I’ve received any virus warning on any of this.

Me like reahu’s stuff. He’s not sitting around abjectly worshipping the temple carvings because they are old, but is tring to relate them to his own understanding of very sexy women. I give him points for being an innovator. The temple carvings seem to me to be just as pornographic as Reahu’s work. Both are good.

I don’t think you deliberately linked to an infected site.

Did anyone other than **Frylock **get a warning?

Yay! Someone besides me likes him.

No, no, I didn’t think that’s what you thought. I’m curious, too, if anyone else received a warning. It’s worked smoothly for me.

Well, I just finished running Symantec Antivirus and the Windows online OneCare scanner and neither found anything. So I think/hope I’m fine. I’ve only had this computer a couple of days and I was really upset to think I might have managed to get it infected already.

I am using Firefox and I only followed Half Man Half Wit’s link to the samurai picture, so I can’t say anything about the safety of the rest of the site or if IE users might be vulnerable to something. I hope it’s really okay for everyone, though.
