I think Nicole Kidman lacks the “heaviness” that would be required for Galadriel, whose been around through the Ages and is fountain of knowledge and wisdom. Nicole seems too… frail. Before the movies were released and I’d heard Ian McKellan as Gandalf and Cate Blanchett as Galadriel, I thought “This has potential.” Not that my opinion matters much to anyone else, of course!
