Lack of senses lack of thought?

If a child was born lacking the five senses would it have any thoughts? If there were any thoughts, where would they come from and what would they be?

Didn’t Metallica make a video about that?

Actually, I think the Metallica song was based on a movie, which was based on the book Johnny Got His Gun written by Dalton Trumbo. (I think Trumbo was also one of the blacklisted artists from the McCarthy hearings.) Pretty powerful book (I’ve not seen the movie) about a soldier who is so badly injured in a war he loses pretty much all five senses.
As for the OP, I don’t have any scientific basis to answer this but I’d guess that yes, the child would think. Just not in the same way that most of us have been conditioned to. But, I do think there would be brain activity. Your guess is as good as mine as to what those thoughts might be.

Even without the standard five senses the kid would be aware of such things as the need to take a breath, hunger, the need to pee… That’s plenty of annoying sensations to thinki about. If you try to get around this by hypothesizing a kid without any internal sensors you’re likely to be thinking about the development of consciousness in dead children. That’s just not very useful.
