Ladies: Lil help? Recommend custom jean sites?

TruCelt just because you’re her body type and are sympathetic doesn’t mean I somehow magically don’t have feelings. It’s not fun to be called a doll either, ya know. The rest of the US is getting obese, do you need a cite for that?

Just keep digging yourself a deeper hole there. I’m a lucky skinny bitch whose (not who’s, incidentally, but what do I know, I have reading comprehension problems) life is filled with candy and rainbows.

You called yourself a troll as a means to attempt a cover up of what you initially did, which was calling people dolls and Amazons. And you also tried to covered it up by saying clothing manufacturers’ did it, not you.

Wouldn’t want you to go all loose on us with everything else going on

I hear ya there. I’m a L or XL in a Jcrew top and a 6-8 in pants. But I personally enjoyed the phrase “my daughter comes by her boobs honestly”

Looming over the trolls, of course.

Anyway, I’ve gotten a lot of good suggestions in this thread, so thank you all. I also am stealing the phrase LA face and Oakland booty.

Sir Mix-A-Lot will be pleased, I am certain.

Well, there will be no royalty payments involved, so it’s going to have to be the thought that counts.

I had written a long response, but on second thought, I really do think this discussion is in the wrong place, so I’m not going to continue it.

Let’s get back to places where we can order custom clothes at reasonable prices! ! !

Anybody got a “bespoke” shoe source near Washington, DC?

TruCelt, good on you. This is not the place.

To the OP, as an adult I’ve been a size 14 and I’ve been a size 30. No matter where I’ve been on that scale I’ve felt that the clothes in the stores were not in “my size”. I do blame manufacturers because there is absolutely NO consistency in their product. I’ve tried on identical jeans in identical sizes the fit differently. Makes no sense.

A coworker just sent me a 30% off Banana Republic coupon two days ago, so perhaps the universe is trying to tell me something! (I’d originally dismissed them thinking that they wouldn’t have anything to fit my fat ass, then remembered that I have lost a decent bit of weight in the last six months. It’s an adjustment.) Checking their website, they mostly have skinny jeans, which my cankles and I approach with some degree of trepidation (despite reading the encouraging posts in the skinny jeans thread). I should at least try on a pair, especially if they provide an excuse to buy boots.
I need to take my measurements; I have no idea what they are right now.

That’s what bums me out so much about the terrible drop in quality from my three stand-bys. I could always count on Eddie Bauer in particular because their jeans were consistent and would always fit. They’ve recently even started a curvier style that I would really like if the fabric wasn’t so flimsy. The fit is great, the fabric sucks! When is the economy going to pick up so I can get my quality denim back???

I wish companies would introduce a “premium” line, or something, so I could at least find nice jeans. I’d gladly pay twice as much for a pair of jeans I knew would last four times as long as the flimsy, cold, stretchy ones that seem to be all I run across right now.

That is a fantastic idea.

It almost certainly wouldn’t be popular enough to justify store space, but a girl can dream. I’d certainly prefer it to 8 sections of “destructed” stretchy jeans.

Well, Eddie Bauer does not, as a policy, carry petites in their stores so you have to order them online and pay shipping. (Except if you are in the store you can order them via their customer service center and not pay shipping.) So petites are already paying a premium. And I agree with you, I’m happy to pay more if I can get value for the price.

Steal from the best, that’s what I always say.

Um, I’d like your coworkers please. Mine nearly drool over themselves. Anyone watch Parks & Rec? You know Jerry? Every one of my coworkers is like some iteration of Jerry. Sigh.
