Yipes!! Right at about $100 USD. Pitiful.
Maybe $3. I buy Cetaphil facial moisturizer and Castile soap whenever they run out. Twice a year?
I buy some soap-and-detergent-free cleanser every 3 months or so, and an unscented oil-based moisturizer to use only in the winter. So about $2-3.
I have good skin these days, it doesn’t need much. I used to have acne and spent at least $40-50 per month on products which helped keep it under control.
My face wash is about $6, and one bottle usually lasts about three weeks. A bottle of $6 moisturizer, though, lasts about six months. And a small tube of spot treatment cream costs about $5 and lasts for over a year.
So, it averages out to a little over $10 per month.
A couple of times a year I spend $60-$80 at Origins. I guess if I average it out maybe $10-$15/month?
I have super oily skin. I just use the same Dr. Bronner’s as what goes on the rest of me in the shower, and use cotton balls and alcohol when I’m not in the shower. One tube of benzoyl peroxide every few months. Probably comes out to four bucks.
Uhhh…zero? I use the same soap on my face as the rest of my body. Is that…bad? Having grown up around boys and a mother who wasn’t really into the whole beauty thing, I’m woefully uneducated about these things.
Zero. Occasionally I’ll buy a bottle of hand/body lotion or something like that, maybe once a year. My teenaged daughters more than make up for my lack of product use.
I buy things like almond oil and beeswax, or shea butter and coconut oil, and handcraft my own lotion. It’s in the neighborhood of $12-15 and lasts about a year. Might get up to $30 if I happen to run out of essential oils to put in them, but those last for multiple years.
Averaged out, probably $2, and most of that for skin lotions to combat dry winter air. My total for this year might be a tiny bit higher, say $2.25 in all, because I had a nasty run-in this summer with some wild parsnip.
I buy Cetaphil facial moisturizer which is about $12 and lasts maybe 3 months, and Olay Daily Facial cloths, which are about $10 for 60 of them but I cut each one in 4 pieces because they’re still big enough that way. So about $5-6 total each month.
I actually have a bunch of products in fancy brands like Philosophy and Clinique, but I keep going back to these. The Olay Daily Facials especially are great. They even take off eye makeup.
Zero on my face. I don’t ever wash my face unless it has dirt/food on it, and I never put any type of product on my face. It helps that I don’t wear any makeup, so I never have to wash it off. My face looks about the same to me as those of other women my age, and my skin feels very soft.
I will admit that lately I’ve been buying a lot of fragranced bath and body products, solely for the fun of the fragrance, but I don’t consider them skincare since I don’t buy them to improve the quality of my skin.
I use Simple facial cleanser and moisturiser. I find normal soap is too strong for the skin on my face and makes it itchy.
Maybe 20 bucks a month? I use cleanser, eye cream, and moisturizer. Sometimes I’ll buy something fancy on a whim.
I use cleansing pads and the same moisturizer as for the rest of my body, both from Sephora’s own line. Uh… what, 5€ month? If that. If it wasn’t for the bath stuff they’d make me return the fidelization card
$0
No makeup, no skin care routine, no special facial cleansers. It hasn’t fallen off yet… so far, so good.
I buy a bottle of the original Olay moisturizer which I use a tiny drop every morning after washing my face in the shower (with the same soap I use to wash my body–usually Caress bar soap). That usually lasts me about six months or more.
Lately, I’ve been giving up the make-up (largely due to battling seasonal allergies which irritate my eyes), but it’s just too much to bother with otherwise. Even when I wore make-up on a consistent basis, I didn’t go through much. I still have eyeshadow that I bought…um…four or five years ago? (Yeah, I know, it need to be thrown out.) Mascara, though, I pitch on a regular basis and wish they sold in smaller containers. I don’t use it before it needs to be pitched.
I don’t spend anything on skin care products (moisturiser etc), I wash my face with soap and water.
Currently mostly £0; I use a prescription moisturiser and soap alternative, due to eczema, but I’m currently getting both of them free, when I pay, it works out at only about £20 a year.
My own actual budget is not representative of what my skin care costs. I am the frequent beneficiary of my mom and sister passing on products, often costly ones. Aside from the free gifts my own expense likely averages out to $10 or so a month on cleanser and moisturizer. (I favor Aveeno, and try to buy it on sale with a coupon.)
