Is there a navagable waterway [river or canal] to get to the Mississippi River from Lake Cumberland KY?
I’m gonna go waaay out on a limb here and guess the Cumberland River. Don’t forget to credit me on your test.
The Corps of Engineers maintains a navigable channel on the Cumberland River downstream from Celina, Tenn. all the way to the Ohio River. That leaves the distance between the lake itself and Celina.
The Ky. Dept of Tourism says “most” of the River is navigable downstream from Lake Cumberland. Maybe Kentucky Tourism can advise whether the stretch from the Lake to Celina is navigable for small waterdraft.
