Lake Monsters? Is There an Explanation?

There is supposed to be a monster in Lake Bala in Wales, hts popular name is Teggie

Yeah, that’s evil. I am hoping the sturgeon will continue to prosper well enough that we’ll see some returning to Lake Michigan again.

Although, as a Lake Michigan swimmer, I don’t know if I’m too anxious to find one of those things nibbling on my toes as I splash around out there!

No harm expected if it did happen, given their filter-feeder nature, but it would creep me out.

Yes, thanks. Small, small nitpick though, purely for educational purposes:

Those were actually from 2003 and attributed to the tsunami later. Link.

I found out if I am zipping along in my PWC, turn just right, and pass over my own wake, I can look back and see the characteristic humps of monsters worldwide. They persist for quite a long time. Two boats can pass each other and be out of sight long before their waves interfere and this phenomenon occurs. I’m firmly convinced such wakes are the source of many legends. It only takes a little imagination to attach a head and tail to the undulating humps.

In Lake Michigan we have Michie.

This just in from this morning, north of Superior – vvverry cccold sssea mmmonsters.
