President Bush wants this Congress to approve legislation and appointments (Bolton, NSA wiretapping, etc) when it reconvenes that don’t have a chance in the next Congress. Should Congress be allowed to reconvene at all after the elections? Should newly elected Congressmembers take office sooner (like a week or two after the election)?
