Lamest Wikipedia article ever

I’m consistently surprised with the quality and integrity of Wikipedia, as a whole.

But this entry is just lame.

The article, in its entirety, discussing the Indian village of Vallithode:

A very beautiful village, with a lot of good people? Surely you can come up with something better than that!

“This Indian location article is a stub. See the WikiProject India for article coordination. You can help Wikipedia by expanding it”
There’s plenty of sparse entries for boring parts of America, too.

Would you prefer “Mostly Harmless”?

Yes, yes I would.

Damn, beat me to it.

I was compelled upon reading it, I had no choice, and it was as if someone had a gun to my head. Must make reference to Hitchhikers Guide.

Of course, I violated a common sense posting etiquette in my haste however. In my reply, I quoted the entire Op, I apologize, I know better and dislike when others do the same.

Just out of curiosity, how did you stumble across that article? I can’t see anyone searching for an obscure south Indian village (unless they live there, and I strongly suspect the author of this article of that).

There are worse ones than that. I saw one (can’t remember the article name) about some high school band field trip, obviously written by some kid from the woodwind section or something. It was laugh-out-loud bad.

I’m sorely tempted to edit the article and add the phrase “plus a few total dipsticks.”

Maybe we should wait for one of our members from Vallithode to reply to this thread.

Go ahead and do it. You KNOW it’s true, since the village must be populated by humans.

I once worked with a guy from Vallithode. He was a good person.

(Dare someone to alter the article to the Hitchhiker’s version…)

I am so tempted to add that to the article…

I have just ruined my good standing with Wikipedia.

I don’t think it took. What did you do?

We just did this, right? Like, the last post was 4 days ago.

Someone (possibly a bot) reverted my edit immediately, but now someone - clearly reading this thread - has totally vandalised it. Outrageous.

I feel as though I have been party to not being good people. We are bad bad people. Of course I thought about doing it myself.
