Oh, outside the Pit you need to keep gratuitous cursing out of the thread titles. We’re not strictly family friendly, but we try to keep the boards safe for work in case your boss peeks over your shoulder.
Could you cite a rule for that? Because this search result for the word “fuck” in thread titles found 16 instances outside of the Pit on the first page, the most recent of which is this thread in GD from earlier this month, without any mention of such a rule by any mod.

You do realize that shite is a curse word in other parts of the word. Also if you’re going to type shite and mpotherfudger then you, me and everyone else in the world knows you mean shit and motherfucker so technically you are cussing. Same as using ****. We all know by the context if you mean shit, fuck, cunt and probably several others. You are cussing and you’re not fooling anyone.
But for some reason, Jesus doesn’t, which is the important thing.

We have a fucking hall? :smack: I always wondered why people came out of that part of the board looking all sweaty and rumpled! I thought it was the gym. 
I remember at least one discussion a while back, in which some Dopers requested either a rule, or voluntary compliance, that people not use naughty words in thread titles, for reasons related to work-safeness, not tripping their company’s language filter, etc. Other Dopers responded to the suggestion by saying, essentially, “Four-asterisks-in-a-row that.”
Yeah, I don’t think there is a rule on point. I usually avoid doing it anyway, but I have given in to temptation at least once in recent memory.
It’s not American English so it counts 
If I say Shite in the states most people don’t catch on to what I am saying. Also, I use Sheisse a lot. The fact that most Americans are pretty monolingual fares in my favor when I am looking for alternative curse words,
